Today I am going to talk to you about the instant messaging software called MSN live messenger, it is created by Microsoft.
I will be focusing on how to change the display name and user’s personal message.

Once you start the program, This is the first screen you will see
This is the login screen where you have to enter a email address which you have registered for use as a windows live id and a password

This is the main screen after you log in. you can see, at the top is the user’s display name and below that is the user’s personal message currently in use.

There are two methods of changing the display name.
Now the first method is through the menu, go to the top right corner to bring out the menu bar, go to tools, then select options

At the side tab select personal. This is the screen you will see. At the first field enter the display name you want others to see
Below that you can enter the personal message.
After you are finished click ok to save the changes.

Now the second method, click on the arrow beside the user name to bring out a drop down menu, this has the options of changing the status, and below those are a selection of short cuts,
Again we can see options, go into options

And for the user personal message all you have to do is click on the message and then you can change the message you want others to see
